I bathed all of my children from birth to six months but once they were able to hold their heads up, my husband took over. After working all day, it’s his special time with his kids. Dos hijas has taught him a lot about hair care.
Our brand of choice for the children’s shampoo has always been Johnson’s Baby Shampoo and Conditioner. It is tear free so you don’t have to worry about getting it into a squirmy toddler’s eyes and gentle on the hair. With my eldest Maddy, we used the gold Johnson’s Baby Shampoo. Knowing that not all hair is alike, Johnson’s recently released a baby shampoo for thin/straight and thick/curly hair. Carmen, our youngest, has been using the thin/straight hair baby shampoo and it has worked great. So great that I caught Maddy using it the other day…you’re never too old!
As the girls have gotten older and their hair has grown, we’ve had to untangle quite a few special hair “creations y desastres.” I’ve introduced my husband and the girls to Johnson’s No More Tangles Detangling Spray.
The detangling spray or as he calls it “the magic potion”, loosens the tangles and allows the comb go through the hair with ease. I’ve watched my husband sit with the girls evening after evening spraying their hair, combing it out and giving lots of cuddles along the way. It’s truly un momento especial.
Recently, we started using the Johnson’s No More Tangles Leave-in Conditioner. My toddler has very fine hair. The No More Tangles Leave-In Conditioner has combatted the chlorine, sun and sweat damage of the summer and given her shiny, healthy hair. Again, my tween daughter is now using it!
Our No More Tangles routine is simple:
- Wash with Johnson’s and Johnson’s No More Tangles Shampoo
- Fortify with the Johnson’s and Johnson’s Leave-In Conditioner
- Spray with the Johnson’s and Johnson’s Detangling Spray and comb out
One area that I have been working on mastering is hair styles. My girls are always asking me to style their hair in fun braids and ponytails. A few weeks ago, we participated in the Johnson’s No More Tangles Hair Workshop where we learned a few easy dummy camp hair styles. In this video, we share our No More Tangles routine and side ponytail tutorial video – perfect for toddlers all the way through tweens!
