Kermit the Frog Interview and Muppets Most Wanted Review
As the second installment in the latest series of Muppets movies is about to hit theaters, Kermit the Frog took the time out of his busy schedule to sit down with us and share insights on the movie, his return to fame and more. I must say, Kermit is quite a guy and although I was excited about the interview my husband was ecstatic!
I knew his excitement was nostalgia but I had to ask Kermit for his take. His answer really drove it home:
“It’s wonderful to meet parents who I might have taught them their ABC’s and now to get to meet their kids, a whole new generation.”
That’s right! Kermit did teach us our ABC’s From “Sesame Street” to “The Muppet Show”, we grew up watching and loving Kermit the Frog. Heck, my third birthday party was Kermit and Miss Piggy themed. So as I introduce my children to the Muppets via the new movies and the old ones on DVD – who doesn’t love “Muppets Take Manhattan?” – I find myself becoming a kid again.
Kermit said it best, “We have something for everyone, from kids to parents, because we want the movies to be enjoyed by the entire family.”
He’s right. “Muppets Most Wanted” certainly does have something for everyone. My tween son and I enjoyed an advanced screening and laughed our way through. There aren’t many movies that appeal to tween boys, girls and parents alike.
“Muppets Most Wanted” opens in theaters March 21st and follows the story of the Muppets as they pack up and head out on a world tour. Overseas, they find themselves mixed up in an international crime mystery headed by Constantine – a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog.
Aside from Kermit, Miss Piggy and all of our Muppet favorites, “Muppets Most Wanted” stars Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey. Plus, it wouldn’t be a Muppet movie without cameos! Appearances from Lady Gaga, Frank Sinatra, Usher and much more will keep the tweens and teens on their toes.
Who was Kermit’s favorite star from this movie? Tina Fey of course! Kermit shares that many of his scenes where with Tina and they “had great fun together.”
Who is your favorite Muppet and why? Are you raising a new generation of Muppet fans?
