Sin Azúcar! Sugar-free gum is a sweet alternative for Tweens

Trident – See what Unfolds

With tweens and teens, you can almost rely daily on an ‘unscripted momento’- it’s a fun and often challenging age that is filled with sorpresas! From foods to music to visiting a new park or playing outside or just telling you about their school day- a tween’s need to tell adults precisely what they’re thinking, in their own words, sparks a story any day. Then there are the flavors that they seek- that’s an entire post in itself. In my house as long as it’s not a vegetable or fruit- my girls are open to trying new flavors most of the time. Since I have such a hard time allowing them to have candy, trying a sugar-free gum can satisfy that ‘need’ for candy flavors without all the sugar. Katherine and I decided to share with our tweens some new flavors from Trident Layers that have silly names like Layers Wild Strawberry + Tangy Citrus, Layers Peach + Mango and Layers Juicy Berry + Tangy Tangerine.

Taking a bit of inspiration from the new Trident campaign, we decided to snap some photos as they tried the new flavors.  It was pretty funny. Check out the brand’s latest video that suggests just have fun in your life, no matter where you are:

When was the last time you did something unexpected? Estos chicos les encantan las locuras! Most tweens love to do unexpected things. As parents, often we want to be measured and get things done. Take a break one day and just do something different with them. Spontaneity can be a great lesson too! As our kids chewed new gum flavors we received comments including- ‘oh, this is different’ and ‘tastes like a gummy bear.” These comments come without adding to potential cavities and increased sugar in their diets- perfecto! Check out the fun Trident Facebook page and be sure to see the national contest.
