Even though I live in Miami, the land of humidity and heat, I have very dry skin and hair so I’m always looking for solutions. My best friend Michelle has the same issue. I immediately volunteered us to try out the new Neutrogena Hydroboost line available in stores everywhere January 2015.
Since we were on our way to a family & friends vacation we both tried out the product and have honestly loved it. As we catch up on our ‘chisme’ (amigas family gossiping) we have tried the Hydroboost water gel cream each night. We’re dealing with colder temperatures and winter heating systems while visiting the mountains of North Carolina. The gel goes on so light and its ‘coolness’ immediately hydrates the skin. Even our tween and teen daughters have gotten in on the testing as they too had dry skin. And my mom who normally has oilier skin, was struggling with winter dryness as well. So now we really had 5 women testing these products all at once. I may have to keep the creams out of their hands since everyone is enjoying it and they want to steel my bottle!
The NEUTROGENA HYDRO BOOSTR Water Gel, Gel-Cream for Extra Dry Skin and Gel Eye Cream are refreshing, lightweight products that instantly hydrate skin and keep it looking visibly smooth, supple and healthy-looking, day after day. I agree with the product description that the gel is easily applied and the skin absorbs it quickly without leaving behind an oily or greasy feel. As I mentioned my mom has oilier skin- she hardly wears moisturizers at all but needed to do so due to cooler temperatures. She enjoyed the Neutrogena moisturizer as it left no oily residue. Michelle and I enjoyed it for the same reason.
When I read the research behind the new NEUTROGENA line, scientists have reached a new understanding of what your skin needs and how to deliver hydration. We have really felt the skin balance the product is suppose to deliver. For me, my skin was very dry following my cleansing and I applied the new water gel. In the morning instead of having an oiler face, I was more more hydrated but not overly oily either.
With my skin being more balanced, my makeup went on better as well. Here I am after applying Neutrogena’s line-up of Eye Shadow and Crease Eye Brow Shadow Color Creams that last more than 12 hours! With built-in primers that prevent fading and creasing they’re formulated with vitamins A, C, and E to condition the delicate eyearea skin. The shadows are available in six shades:
- Classic Nude
- Cocoa Mauve
- Cool Plum
- Mink Brown
- Smoky Steel
- Soft Taupe
The best part of the new beauty products available from Neutrogena is that they’re found at all major retailers and they’re affordable for moms and teens (all under $20) for a natural look that won’t cost you a lot. And of course the Neutrogena Naturals Beauty Wipes will help you take it all off easily with a simple wipe.
I always share the make up that is sent to me for review with my amigas, mom, cousins, aunts and of course my girls love to try new items! But even more so I love to share products with YOU, our readers because we need to help each other.
