Cristy Clavijo-Kish is a serial entrepreneur and award-winning marketing, media and communications practitioner and social media influencer with more than 20 years experience and specialization in Hispanic and multicultural community initiatives and digital content marketing.
As a mother of twin tweens in 2011 and an active Girl Scout Troop leader, she realized there was a need to develop digital content and foster a community facing the challenges of raising kids after first grade. That year she founded and remains co-Publisher of Los Tweens & Teens, a bilingual media platform to engage and support multicultural parents and influencers with content related to raising Generation Z- tweens & teens ages 7-18. Through the Los Tweens & Teens platform Cristy has worked to produce events such as Teens & Me aimed at providing adults raising this generation with essential resources from chats with therapists to battle anxiety and bullying, to understanding social media and technology.
A New Jersey native of Cuban decent, Cristy is a board member of Amigos For Kids – a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse in the South Florida community. Julian Alexander Guas is 18 years old. When Julian was 2, he was diagnosed with High-Functioning Autism. His parents were informed by specialists that he would never live a normal life and would be considered a “lost cause” who would lack independence. The specialist and doctors advised Julian’s parents to begin preparing for him to live his life in an institution. Julian and his family remember one account in which they were told by the experts they were in contact with that he was never going to be able to attend a regular high school, much less graduate with a high school diploma. Despite his many obstacles, with his determination and the continued support of his parents, Julian has proven them wrong. In 2019 Julian graduated high school Cum Laude and was a Miami Silver Knight nominee. He is currently enrolled at Miami-Dade College majoring in Dental Hygiene.
