The beloved children’s book “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” has been reimagined as a hollywood film starring Shawn Mendes!
The movie is based on the book series written and illustrated by Bernard Webber and first published in 1965. It tells the story of Lyle (Shawn Mendes), a music-loving crocodile who lives comfortably in a New York City apartment’s attic.
Unfortunately, Mr and Mrs Primm (Scoot McNairy and Constance Wu) aren’t so comfortable with a large reptile living in their new home. Especially one who likes taking baths, caviar, and singing. Their son Josh, however, sees how special Lyle is and the two quickly become best friends.
With the Primms’ evil neighbor threatening to get rid of Lyle, the family must come together with Lyle’s eccentric owner Hector P Valenti (Javier Bardem) to protect him and show the world there’s more to this crocodile than meets the eye.
The musical-comedy adventure features an original soundtrack by the same team behind The Greatest Showman and performed by Shawn Mendes.
Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile releases only in theaters on October 7, 2022.
