Salute to Education, Inc., a scholarship program created and funded by the South Florida Ford and Lincoln dealers and Ford Motor Company, awarded $168,000 in scholarships and laptop computers to 112 recent Miami-Dade and Broward County high school graduates on Saturday, June 4th at the 22nd Annual Salute to Education Scholarship Awards Luncheon at the Signature Grand in Davie
Along with the scholarship check, each of the winners received a brand new laptop computer.
Through a unique partnership with the community in South Florida, the Miami-Dade and Broward County Ford and Lincoln Dealers and Ford Motor Company have awarded nearly$3.7 million in scholarships to more than 4,100 deserving public and private high school seniors in both counties.
The program receives support from a Scholarship Committee composed of Ford and Lincoln dealers and business, educational and civic leaders who take time out of their schedules to judge the scholarship applications. Community volunteer participation has been an integral part of the campaign’s success. Salute to Education is one of South Florida’s largest private scholarship foundations.
