Teen idol Selena Gomez re-appeared in last night’s American Music Awards 2016, after stating back in August that she needed to take a break form the spotlight to take care of her mental health, due to depression stemming from her Lupus condition. And what a comeback!

She appeard a little bit thinner but looking gorgeous in her long satin red dress and even though she had the spotlight when winning the “Best Female Artist” award, she really left her mark when she gave an emotional short but honest speech while accepting it.
“Thank you guys! Back in 2014 in this stage was the first time I was authentically honest and true to all of you. I think it’s safe to say that most of you know a lot about my life – whether I liked it or not…..and I had to stop. ‘Cause I had everything, but I was absolutely broken inside. I keep it all together enough that I let myself down. I don’t want to see your bodies in Instagram, I want to see what’s inside. I’m not trying to get validation, nor I need it anymore……. “
