Teen anxiety disorders are among the most common mental health conditions that arise during adolescence, and parenting or mentoring teens requires a set of skills caregivers often find themselves missing or needing to improve.
The team here at Los Tweens & Teens (http://lostweens.com), the bilingual e-magazine for the years after kindergarten and before college, often produces content around this subject and we are excited to present our first event in Miami, “Teens & Me,” as a unique experience for adults + kids ages 12-17 to be held at Miami on Saturday, January 26th.
We are keeping the event costs as low as possible to attract parents and caregivers of all income levels. Individual tickets are priced at only $15 per person which includes a snack break, goodie bag, a copy of the book “Protected by Purpose” by guest speaker Dorinda Walker (one for each adult).
Advance tickets can be purchased at: bit.ly/teensandme
“Our purpose for “Teens & Me” is to create a dialog critical for parents and adults (teachers, counselors, mentors) to support healthy teens rooted in good mental health and education,” said our founder and mom of twin teen girls, Cristy Clavijo-Kish.
“Teens & Me” will be a unique experience that will include 3 separate tracks: for adults, for teens and an exhibit hall that will serve the central location for adults & teens to gather and spend an afternoon together sampling brand partner products and services. Tours of Miami International University of Art & Design will be available during the program.
